A new day starts today. What better time to give yourself the opportunity to try something new or turn over a new leaf, so to speak. We all need a bit of encouragement to set new goals, stick to them and all the while still stay positive. I will post my favorite ways and mind sets to help you get where you want to be this upcoming year.

-Physically keep moving no matter what: A walk to the mailbox counts. I believe in small steps.

-Clear mental clutter: find a place that makes you feel good, it could even be in your car, parked in front of the water with a cup of coffee, even if just for 15 minutes.

-Change the channel: If you are surrounded by unpleasant messages, turn to what sounds like music to your ears, go to a local soccer game, call a friend, put your favorite CD on. 

-Try something new: volunteer, join a book club, take up a new hobbie or get in touch with an old hobbie or bake a pie for a friend or yourself.
